Many times women who are victims in domestic abuse feel they have to return to the spouse after trying to get away because they have nowhere to go after the time allowed in the shelter. Many have been controlled to the point that they have no or limited job skills, little or no access to money and lack self-esteem or confidence. They need a place to live while they develop skills to deal with life and emotional issues.
VIDA in Spanish means "life." It also stands for Victims In Domestic Abuse … victims who desperately need hope and a future for their life without abuse.
Read our Vision and Purpose Statements and help us make this hope a reality. Once established in our local counties we will be able to reach out to help other communities develop this service for more victims.
