we make a difference
Dear Homes of Hope,
I would like to thank you for everything that you have given me. I started with your program in November 2011. I had recently come back to California with my three children, after leaving an abusive marriage. I was in a situation of constant turmoil and emotional abuse. My parents were able to help me make the move from xxx where I was living with my husband and three children, in October of 2011.
During this difficult time, you provided me with much needed support. You have helped by providing me counseling during my divorce, the emotional ups and downs, and the stress of court. My divorce was finalized in February 2012. Marsha Anderson has been a godsend. She has helped me to feel more confident through counseling, and able to cope with all the tribulations of starting a new life.
Through your program and support, I have been able to obtain a home for myself and my children. They were also able to help me with some furniture, household needs, clothing, including a bed for my son. With the assistance of your program, my student loans were paid off and I was able to apply for my xxx license. This will make it possible for me to search for employment.
On December 27, 2012, we had our final court date for custody. I was able to win permanent custody of my three children. They are now residing with me in Redding, and going to school near our home. I began a full time job as of March 4, 2013. I am working for xxxxx.
Thank you just doesn’t seem enough for everything you have given me. I feel very blessed to have been part of your program.
From her parents:
P.S.: I would also like to express my gratitude for the loving support and financial assistance you were able to give to my daughter. She is now completely removed from a difficult situation, and with your help she has been able to move forward towards becoming a more independent and self-reliant person. Thank you! X
