The Story

Homes of Hope 2011 Progress

Workshop-- May 23-24,2011

Five ladies were led through a study on setting boundaries by Carol and Marsha. The study was very successful, and the attendees were blessed to to be housed in a beautiful home in Mt. Shasta. Much was covered in this short time.

Estate Collector’s Sale

Through the generosity of a Homes of Hope friend, a sale was held on Feb. 11 and 12. Forty percent of the proceeds were donated to Homes of Hope.

The large collection of all new merchandise from a closed merchant included many beautiful crystal pieces, china, plates and bells (Bing Grandahl & Goebel), state spoons, dolls, and Hummel figurines.

Many items are still available, we hope to plan another sale soon.

All About Women's Fair

Four ladies represented Homes of Hope at the fair sponsored by the Soroptomists at Anderson Fairgrounds on April 26.

Many stopped to talk and find out more information about our program. Some of them took information with them on the mentoring and volunteering opportunities with Homes of Hope while thirteen women left their contact information. We were also able to sell more of the collectibles from the Estate Sale.
